The Sebastopol Center for the Arts & The Surface Design Association are proud to announce FIBER ART VI, —one of the largest international juried fiber art exhibitions in the San Francisco Bay Area—running October 24 through November 30, 2013.
We will be hosting this show in our newly renovated, state of the art gallery, located 45 minutes from San Francisco, in the heart of the world famous wine country in Sebastopol CA. During the show, TheSebastopol Center for the Arts, will be celebrating its 25th year, and this show will be the showcase for our celebrations.
As part of this new venture, the Sebastopol Center for the Arts is joining with the Surface Design Association and is welcoming artists from all over the world to participate in a unique celebration of fiber arts.
We are encouraging thought-provoking, unconventional and innovative fiber works in a range of materials–metals, mesh, paper, wood, natural or manmade fibers–applied to fiber techniques. Two- or three-dimensional pieces are accepted including wearable art and installations. AWARDS

Jurors:
Susan Taber Avila is an artist, Professor of Design (Textiles & Fashion) at the University of California, Davis and a Chutian Scholar at Wuhan Textile University in Wuhan, China.
Joan Schulze is an independent artist and lecturer in 17 countries since the 70s, She has work in many museums and private collections, exhibits; teaches internationally and is highly regarded for her work in collage and the fiber arts.
