John Marshall Presentation and Trunk Show
Sacramento Weavers and Spinners Guild is partnering with Sacramento Center for the Textile Arts to present John Marshall, internationally acclaimed fiber artist, specializing in the traditional Japanese techniques of katazome (stencil dyeing) and tsutsugaki (cone drawing).
Morning Program — Pigments throughout the Ages: Pigment use has been associated with humankind since the earliest times. Join John in a lively presentation tracing this history from the millennia old excavation sites of South Africa to the colorful and whimsical bingata pieces produced in modern day Japan.
