The October 5, 2019 General Meeting Speaker will be Deborah Corsini, who will present her research on the local San Francisco Bay Area Fiber Art scene.
“What’s goin’ on?” — Getting to know the Bay Area Fiber Community & Beyond
Deborah’s presentation will showcase regional and national fiber arts organizations, places to see contemporary and ethnic textiles, where to find classes, supplies and some interesting tidbits and fiber news from beyond the SF Bay Area. Come and learn what’s happening in the rich cornucopia of SF Bay Area fiber. This is a comprehensive (but not exhaustive) look at the dynamic fiber scene in our community. Information sharing will be encouraged!
Deborah Corsini is a long time weaver, exhibiting tapestry artist and the former curator of the San Jose Museum of Quilts & Textiles. In her spare time she goes to fiber and art exhibits and likes to take walks on the beach.
