Here are the details from the hard-working Wool Show volunteers.

Let’s support those growers!!

Hello all potential wool buyers!
I wanted to send out this email to let you know that even though we are not have a Fair, the Wool Dept is still have fleeces being judged and up for auction. We are very excited to be able to bring the auction to you  this year virtually. The auction will be starting on August 26th at 8am and closing on August 27th at 7:59am. This will give buyers time to go through all the fleeces and bid on their favorite(s) one. You will be against other bidders so you will need to watch your bids to make sure you have the highest bid in by closing. Like a silent auction.
The fleece judging will take place at the fairgrounds on Saturday August 22nd starting at 9am and will go until finished. We plan on having the judging online via Zoom.
We will try to post all crucial information from the judging as well as the producers on each of the fleeces, including a photo of the fleece. We are hoping to get a chance to wash the lockes so we can give info on how they wash up.
The link to the auction will be on the fair’s website closer to the auction day. You will need to sign up with all your information, name, shipping or pick up and credit card. You will then be given an auction number and will be allowed to view the fleeces but probably not until the day before. We have a tight schedule to get all the details in the website so you might not get a chance to view the fleeces prior to the auction, but if you watch the judging you will have an idea of what fleece call your name!
Check out the website later this month for the link.

Thank you,
Sue Barraza
