Conference Mixed News

 Conference Mixed News

There’s more good news than bad news in this post! The bad news is, CNCH 2021, set for July at Cal Poly, is not going to happen. But the great news is, the Area 2 organizers say they’re all set to have the Cal Poly conference in 2023!! That means much of the groundlaying will not go to waste. See you there in 2023!

And the other great news is that the CNCH 2022 conference planning is well under way! We’re excited to announce “Spring: Creative Resilience” will take place at the Marriott Airport Hotel in San Mateo, May 19-22, 2022. We’re all so excited! This is an even-year conference with all the fun, including a big class assortment and a vendor hall!!

To keep room rates as low as possible ($149 and $169 per night) it’s important to book a room early if you plan to be there! You won’t get charged until the event, and if we don’t book the rooms, we are at risk of losing them to another hotel gathering. Your guild liaison will have more details, but meanwhile, book your room by using the link on the cnch2022 site. We appreciate it!

(Oh, and here’s a tip: if you join the hotel’s frequent customer program, “Bonvoy,” free of charge, you’ll get free wifi in your room.)

One final note: to keep the conference planning rotation intact, Area 4 guilds will not be called on to do the job in 2023. Therefore, anyone in those guilds can step up to the plate for either 2022 or 2023. And some important jobs are still open for 2022, so contact Co-Chair Eugenia Gwathney if you can help!!
