FASHION SHOW
We are turning the traditional fashion show on its head for this conference! Here’s how it works:
Simply wear or carry your creation to our Friday night gathering at Merrill Hall. As we mingle after dinner, and before our keynote address, your host will call out a category, such as “scarves!” and if that’s what you’re wearing, you’ll gather with your other scarf-wearers in front of the stage. Then, simply melt out into the crowd and revel in the oohs-and-ahhs from others. No scary march down a runway, but your fellow party-goers will be able to see that you’re displaying something you’re proud of. Be prepared to answer questions about your creation!
SPECIAL ACTIVITIES
We encourage everyone to gather at the spectacular Social Hall, either inside by the fireplace, or outside on the spacious deck, during all down-time periods, such as during the lunch hour, the time between workshops and evening activities, or early mornings. Bring your spinning wheel, spindle, small loom, knitting — you get the idea!
We don’t want to cram your day with too much structure, but we do want you to have a place to find your friends, new and old! Make use of the Social Hall!! You can also use it as a gathering place before a beach walk!
