RETURN TO SENDER

Picking up the thread of a longstanding tradition at CNCH, our 2025 Conference will once again host a display table in the Gallery for the Return to Sender spun skeins of fiber!

The fiber for CNCH 2025 is 3 oz. of Combed Top Merino Roving – 21.5 micron, with a staple length of 2.75 inches. (It’s so soft and lovely!) Fiber packets contain 1 ounce of each of our conference colors representing the Monterey Coast: Turquoise for Monterey Bay, Orange for sensational sunsets, and Grey for fog!

Ground Rules

  1.  There are various ways to spin these fibers. You may choose to separate or combine the colors, remove a portion or add another fiber to it to spin. It’s up to YOU! Experiment, create and most of all…have FUN!
  2. If you choose to blend or ply fiber with another fiber, you may add up to 50% of any additional fiber (up to 1.5 ounces if you are spinning the entire 3 oz.).
  3. The returned skein of spun yarn must be at least 75 yards in length.
  4. Cost is $12 per packet if you are a member of a CNCH guild ($15 for non-members to cover extra packaging & shipping costs) which includes bundled shipping to your Guild’s representative.

Bear in mind that CNCH 2026 will be looking for your final creations in their Return of Return to Sender Gallery. So, you may want to consider spinning with a weaving, knitting, or felting project in mind.

Fill out an Order Form for your submission and mail your check according to the instructions on the order form.
Deadline: Your order and check must be received by November 5th, 2024.
Traditionally, spinners received 2 oz. of fiber, but this year, thanks to Eugene Textiles’ generous discount, packages contain a BONUS 1 oz (total 3 oz). There is a limited supply of fiber, so don’t wait to secure your fiber package! When they’re gone; they’re GONE!
