Knit Picks has introduced a new yarn called Oceana.  This is a fairly new category offered by a number of yarn dealers which is a blend of traditional fibers such as alpaca, wool, along with a polyester created from upcycled marine plastic yarn.  If any of you have tried one of these products, let me know!

 

Damascus Fiber Arts School announces a new Zoom talk lineup for the year.  We have just missed tapestry artist Jennifer Sargent’s talk on the development of her weaving journey.  It may still be available as a recording.  February to April’s talks are available for registration at: https://damascusfiberartsschool.org

If you find yourself over in Fort Bragg this month, stop in at Pacific Textile Arts to catch their new show highlighting their extensive textile collection.  Lolli Jacobsen has curated what sounds like an amazing show.  If you cannot make it in person, a video of Lolli’s talk will be on their website and on YouTube.  A completely new round of items will be on display.
