The July 3, 2024, online issue of Colossal, https://www.thisiscolossal.com/category/art/, features the sinuous woven basketry installations of Laura Ellen Bacon. Weighing upwards of 500 pounds per installation, the Derbyshire, England artist has worked with willow for several decades. From concept to completion the viewer becomes drawn into her work.
You can find more of Bacon’s art on Instagram and her website at lauraellenbacon.om

Browsing Instagram finds us at https://www.instagram.com/catalinaswinburnstudio and her marvelous display of intricately folded paper. Softly draping and evocative of cloaks, Swinburn recycles paper from old books, maps and ephemera.
