Pantone’s Color of the Year 2022

As the wheel of the year turns, so turns the color wheel.  Just like waiting for the first blooms of late winter, we wait for Pantone to announce their color of the year.  Last year as we were in the throes of the pandemic, Pantone surprised us with not one but two colors — a healing gray not unlike the duct tape we were holding our lives together with, and a sunny illuminating yellow as a promise of good days ahead.

This year, the charming and delightful “Very Peri” (17-3938) arrives on the stage:

Once, as I was in need of soul healing, I made a simple knit sweater set of this very color.  Every time I wore it, I felt good all the way to my very soul.  I believe this is my very most favorite color!
