2017 marks our 65th Annual Conference. For this special occasion, we will be returning to the lovely and historic Asilomar Conference Grounds in Pacific Grove, for Sapphire Sea, Golden Threads – where we will offer a fabulous selection of 3-day hands-on workshops with top instructors from around the country: Donna Sakamoto Crispin, Deanna Deeds, Elizabeth Hill, Karen Huntoon, Giovanna Imperia, Annetta Kraayeveld, Kate Larson, Barbara Setsu Pickett, Lois Russell, Beth Smith, Robyn Spady, Betty Vera, and Mary Zicafoose.
If you’ve been to Asilomar before, you know what a special place it is: celebrated as the Monterey Peninsula’s “Refuge by the Sea” – Asilomar State Beach and Conference Grounds is a breathtakingly gorgeous 107 acres of ecologically diverse beachfront land. Situated within the quaint and scenic town of Pacific Grove, Asilomar offers guests an unforgettable escape from the demands of everyday life. If this will be your first time visiting Asilomar, you’ll soon understand why this will be the fifth time we’ll be returning to this amazing facility for our retreat Conference.
All meals are included with the cost of lodging, and are served in the historic Crocker Dining Hall. The daily menu highlights fresh, seasonal, local produce procured directly from a network of regional organic farmers.
Evening events will include a meet-and-greet, a keynote speaker, and a Saturday night Open House Show and Tell, where we can all see what our fellow attendees have been working on over the weekend. We’re also planning several off-site events for spouses and partners in and around the lovely Monterey Peninsula, in case they’d like to join you.
So mark your calendars for May 4-7th for CNCH 2017, Sapphire Sea, Golden Threads.
