“April Showers bring May Flowers.” We’ve heard that since we were children. Here it is, May, and with the drought officially over, the reservoirs full and the flood waters and the mud shrinking back into the earth, we can now enjoy California’s sunny weather without guilt.
All that winter and spring rain gave many of us the time to check out our fiber and fabric stash and consider what can be done with it. Also we could make notes, written or mental, on how we could supplement and display this aforementioned stash.
Several articles in this issue touch on the ‘stash’ subject and how to use it. Also, for your perusal, is info on starting an interest group, a look at the Mt Lassen Fiber Guild, and another way to make warp weights. And be sure to read the article about hemp. It may be in your future fiber projects.
Speaking of projects, maybe a class is what you would like to explore various aspects of fiber and fabric. Check out Fiber Arts on the Mendocino Coast.
Now take some time to smell those flowers and then come back and read the latest issue of CNCHnet.
