Grant and Fundraiser

Every year CNCH gives a grant to each of our five areas.

All the Guilds in CNCH are asked to donate a Basket filled with wonderful cones of yarn, ideas for projects, fiber to spark that magic in your mind and spinning and weaving equipment. These Baskets are to have the name of the Guild doing the donating on the handle of the Basket and they are to be delivered to CNCH on the first day of the conference.

In order to win one of these treasures an attendee must donate to the CNCH Fundraiser. The cost is $20.00 for each opportunity to win, donated when they register for Conference. Cards will be distributed in registration packets for a drawing for the Baskets. This card will have two parts, one half they will keep and the other half they will write their name and contact number on, folded and placed in the jar that will be at the registration desk. Additional tickets will be available for purchase up until the Fashion Show.

On Saturday evening during the Strut Your Stuff Fashion Show the cards will be drawn and the baskets awarded. Then the magic will begin!

CNCH 2021 Registration Fee Grant

The CNCH 2021 conference will be hosted by the Guilds of Area 2. They are working diligently to secure a venue, but in the meantime, your Advisory Council is pleased to announce an amazing opportunity for one or our members to receive a bonus grant to cover the registration fees for 2021. All CNCH members who register for the 2020 Conference and hotel in Burlingame by January 15, 2020 will be eligible to win. Attendees’ names will be collected and the drawing will be held prior to the beginning of the 2020 conference. The winner will be notified and announced at the Banquet Dinner on Friday, April 3rd, 2020.

2020 Conference Grant Information and Requirements

CNCH is pleased to offer a grant program for members of affiliated guilds.  For additional information, please see the detail below and download the Conference Grant application form.

  1. To be eligible for the grant, the applicant must be a member in good standing of a guild that is a member of CNCH, Inc. Applicant must not have been awarded this grant in the past five years.
  2. Five grants are available in the amount of $390 for CNCH 2020 Conference, one for each Area.
  3. The grant committee consists of at least three members from the CNCH Advisory Board. The committee does not have access to applicant’s names.
  4. Applications will be available on the web site, www.cnch.org, from guild liaisons or by contacting the CNCH Administrative Assistant, Erin Maclean, Advisory@CNCH.org or P.O. Box 191119, Sacramento, CA 95819-1119.
  5. Awards will not be made on the basis of financial need. The applicant will describe the applicant’s fiber interests and the applicant’s reasons for wanting to attend CNCH 2020 Conference. Selection will be based on both the applicant’s personal goals and upon how they plan to share their experience to their guild.
  6. Applications are due by Friday, November 1, 2019. The grant committee will make its selection for the awards by Tuesday, November 19, 2019. Applicants should register online, and recipients will be sent a check from CNCH, Inc once registration and guild membership is confirmed.
  7. If the recipient is unable to attend CNCH 2020 Conference for any reason, the recipient must notify the CNCH committee as early as possible for the committee to be able to award the grant to another individual, if time allows. Regardless, if the recipient does not attend the conference, the money must be returned to CNCH, Inc.
